The newest edition to downtown Salisbury is Joyful Harvest Market. This gem presents a selection of healthy, crave-worthy food, and pantry items you can’t find at the grocery store. The daily soup is made from scratch, and the bags you leave with are biodegradable. Lookout every weekend over the summer for Farmers Markets held in front of the store alongside fresh-caught fish. The owner Karen is sure to be there to welcome you.
If you love to bike, or find the perfect trail to walk the dogs, look no further than Salisbury’s Rail Trail. An absolute treasure, stroll by the tranquil marsh through lush woods, all the way to the Merrimack River. Watch how the the seasons change the environment with flourishing wildlife including colorful birds and large snapping turtles. The vast variety of trees and flora produce something new and beautiful each day… including a spectacular autumn.
When you’re ready to shop til you drop, head over to historic downtown Newburyport for local clothing, accessories, fine-food, skincare, home decoration, novelties, and consignment stores. Salisbury residents have the advantage of a small, friendly community in a comfortable residential area, just a 10 minute drive to a bustling downtown.
